Our Christmas

We had such a wonderful Christmas and feel we have so much to be thankful for. The Friday before Christmas my parents came to visit for the weekend. We had a great time with them and Ava enjoyed spending time with Grammie and Papa. She was of course spoiled. We took Ava to gymnastics for a little Christmas party they had. We had a nice dinner here at the house after that. I always enjoy the time I get to spend with my family. My family has moved around some so home to me is just being with my family no matter where we might be. They left on Monday to spend time with my sister and brother-in-law. On Tuesday we celebrated with Justins side of the family at his parents. We had a wonderful dinner and it was so fun to watch my nephew and neice as they opened their gifts. They are so appreciative and excited and that is the best part for me. Ava still does not know what to think of all this. She always enjoys being with her cousins and her MiMi. On Christmas Eve we got together at my sister-in-law's. We enjoyed good food, wine and entertainment. My nephew Philip and his Papaw played the guitar and sang. I have to say it was so cute. We enjoyed a quite Christmas at our own house. Ava woke up to find Santa had come and left her lots of goodies. She now owns a kitchen which is almost as big as mine. Our house is filled with toys and we only have one kid. I use to think our house was big for us until we had Ava. Once you have a kid you suddenly aquire a lot of stuff. It is amazing how much space something so small takes up. We are looking forward to the new year and can't wait to see what it has in store. It is crazy how fast time goes by and how big your kids get so fast. Hope everyone enjoyed celebrating Jesus's birthday. What an awesome thing to celebrate.

Trophy hunt

Ok so my hubby is really into hunting so he wanted me to post some pictures of his deer that he killed last weekend. I try to act like I know the importance of this but truth be told I just think he killed Bambi's dad. It makes him happy so thats all that matters. He tells me it is a 10 point mule deer.

Gymnastics

Today I took Ava to gymnastics and am happy to report no other children were injured. You see since I stay at home with Ava she is rarely around other children. She does enjoy the company of her two cousins Philip and Ashlyn. Anyways we have had problems with Ava being physical with the other kids. For example last week she pulled another child by his sweater and then later proceeded to yank on his pant leg to get him off the slide. She is not use to sharing. We also tend to cater to her. After gymnastics we had girls lunch with my good friends Nikah and Haven and her newborn Adelynn. I always enjoy spending time with Nikah. She and I have been friends since middle school and she now lives in Lubbock. I am so looking forward to Christmas since my parents will be here from St. Louis and out of town friends will also be here. The elves have been coming to our house every night and leaving candy for Ava in our holiday calander. Every morning is a chocolate mess. This year out to be fun with Ava. We have taught her to say HO HO HO. It is close enough anyway.
